Why Skillshare Downloader

Skillshare delivers its class content through a streaming video player that does not offer a built-in download button. Learners who want to revisit lessons during a commute, on a flight, or in any other offline setting have no straightforward way to keep a local copy. Copying the video URL leads to an authenticated stream that cannot be saved with a simple right-click.

Skillshare Downloader is being designed to integrate directly into the browser and intercept the video stream as it plays in the class player. The objective is to let you pick the lessons you need, capture the video at its available quality, and write a clean MP4 file to your local storage so your learning materials travel with you.

How It Will Work

• Install the extension from your browser's extension store once it is released.

• Navigate to Skillshare and sign in to your account.

• Click the extension icon to open the popup and view detected lessons.

• Select individual lessons or choose the entire class for batch download.

• Pick your preferred resolution if the player offers multiple quality levels.

• Start the download and the MP4 file will be saved to your local machine.

Expected Formats

• Input: Skillshare streaming video delivered through the browser player (adaptive HLS / DASH segments)
